VOICE LIBRARY
13 voices, each chosen by research.
Loam's voice library is selected — not curated. Polyvagal theory tells us which registers regulate. ASMR research tells us which voices trigger relaxation. CBT-I research tells us which ones aid sleep. We pick the voice that fits what you actually need.

How voice selection works in Loam
When you start a session, Loam's selector reads three signals — what you typed (or how you chose the session), the time of day, and your recent practice — and picks the voice with the strongest research-backed fit. You can override it any time in the player.

Why so many voices?
Meditation apps usually ship with one or two narrators and hope everyone bonds with them. The research is clearer than that: voice pitch, cadence, and accent all interact with listener physiology in measurable ways. What works for one nervous system doesn't work for another. With 13 options, Loam can match voice to moment instead of asking the moment to match the voice.
